Are Youse The Comoydians?

Are Youse The Comoydians?” is the true story of the Last Legs Comedy Tour, the most ambitious stand up comedy tour ever attempted in Australia.

Sydney comedians Peter Green and Domenick O’Kieran along with their musician mate Bushy and roadie James took to the Australian road on their pushbikes, stopping to perform live comedy shows wherever they finished up for the day.

Through outback pubs, cattle stations, campfires, air force bases, bowling greens and one large boab tree, they put on 198 shows, suffered 198 hangovers, rode 20,000 kilometres and raised $40,000 for the Cancer Council.

They also got outdrunk by barnyard animals, set themselves on fire, met a man with a chook on his head, chased a busload of schoolgirls down the highway while waving a skull and made friends with Australia’s foremost cat skinner.

No ordinary bike around the country by a bunch of earnest do-gooders, it’s a rare account of what it’s like to perform stand up comedy by one of Australia’s most accomplished comedians.

Impossible to put down once you’ve started reading it.

Should be a good night.
