- If you missed the first show of SBS new homegrown comedy Swift and Shift Couriers on Monday night, you can catch the full episode online at the SBS TV homepage. The next show airs on Monday 3rd November at 8:30pm.
- Melbourne impro troupe The Crew are providing the entertainment at a fundraising trivia night at the Melbourne Town Hall to support the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. Book by October 31st! [The Crew blog]
- Ying Tong: A Walk with The Goons is heading to Adelaide in November after a strong run in the eastern states. Veteran comics Geoff Kelso and Johnny Biggins play Spike Milligan and Peter Sellers respectively. [Independent Weekly]
Written by Roy Smiles, the show also features David James as Harry Secombe and John Hannan as voiceover man Wallace Greenslade and follows Milligan through a period of hospitalisation after a nervous breakdown.

Fresh from her recent run of Terror At 41,000 Feet, the insatiable Pam Ann, air hostess with the mostess, has flown to Sydney to film her new show The Pam Ann Experience at Foxtel Studios.

Update: too late now! Wonder how it went.
Fresh off the press from Shapiro Tuesdays @ Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den: come down for a laugh and see some TV and radio being made.
Subject: Our hour of need… We need bums on seats!
Sorry for the late notice guys, but ABC RADIO and AUSTRALIAN IDOL’S CAMERAS are coming down tonight to record parts of the show and it would be just swell if the room was presented as a room that people actually go to and laugh. I’m not asking you to lie, just be here.
How’s this for a deal - You turn up and we’ll be hilarious.

SMH Stay In Touch:
- Wil Anderson’s new ABC-TV show The Gruen Transfer is generating buzz:
The ABC’s resident rabblerousers have more tricks up their sleeve after spoof commercials prompted more than 250 complaints in the past week - and became YouTube hits.
- Lawrence Leung has been named the best local comedian at the Cracker Comedy Festival awards.
Other winners were Ross Noble, who won the Time Out readers’ choice award, Mark Watson, who won the best of the fest gong, and Amelia Jane Hunter and Hannah Gadsby, who won the director’s special award for Meat the Musical. Winners took home Golden Chickens from the awards ceremony at the Enmore Theatre.
The Age’s Kate Duthie reviews the new SBS comedy show featuring Muslim performers, Salam Cafe. The show airs on Wednesdays at 10pm, and you can catch the first episode online via the SBS Salam Cafe page.
